Number of Fellowships Available. 9.2.2.1 The total value of the Professional Improvement Fellowships available in any one school year shall not be less than 0.4% nor more than 0.8% of the Salary Grid cost calculated on September 30 of the year prior to that in which the Fellowships are to be provided. Should the total cost of the Fellowships granted by May 1 be less than the amount established as the minimum for that year, the remainder shall be retained in the Professional Improvement Fellowship fund for the subsequent year. The Review Committee for Professional Improvement Fellowships may recommend to the Board and the Local that money allocated to the Professional Improvement Fellowship fund be transferred to the Staff Development Fund. Such a transfer shall be made with the approval of the Board and the Local.
