Common use of OBLIGATION TO SUPPORT Clause in Contracts

OBLIGATION TO SUPPORT. The Parties agree that during the period of time this Memorandum is pending before the Civil Service Commission or the City Council for action, neither Union, nor Management, nor their authorized representative, or any member of Union’s Board of Directors will appear before the Civil Service Commission or the City Council or meet with members of either body individually to advocate any amendment, addition, or deletion to the terms and conditions of this Memorandum. It is further understood that this Article does not preclude the Parties from appearing before the Civil Service Commission or the City Council nor meeting with individual members of either body to advocate or urge the adoption and approval of this Memorandum in its entirety.
