OPERATING COSTS GENERAL PROVISIONS. 6.1. The accounting procedures in this Section shall be followed and observed in the performance of the contractor's obligations under the contract. 6.2. The contractor's books and accounts shall be prepared and maintained in accordance with a generally accepted and recognized accounting system consistent with modern petroleum industry practices and procedures. Books and accounts shall be available for the use of the Joint Authority in order that it may carry out its auditing responsibilities under this contract.
