Common use of Option to Renew for One Year Clause in Contracts

Option to Renew for One Year. By mutual agreement of the County and Contractor, this Contract may be renewed for up to, but no more than, two (2) successive one-year renewal terms beginning immediately upon the expiration of the Contract’s initial one-year term. Each such one-year renewal shall be made in writing. The Health Agency Director or his designee is hereby delegated the authority to determine whether to renew this Contract without additional approval by the Board of Supervisors, so long as the renewal is in writing, approved as to form and legality by County Counsel, and consistent with the limits described in Section 30 of Exhibit D, Delegation of Authority.
