Options if Medically Unfit. If following injury on duty leave, an employee is found by the Workers Compensation Board to be medically unfit to carry out the functions of the position the employee occupies, then: (a) the employee, representatives of the Union, the Employer and the Workers Compensation Board will meet to explore alternate or rehabilitative employment, or other accommodation measures in accordance with Article 51; or (b) if such accommodation is not possible, the employee shall be provided disability leave in accordance with Article 22.02.
