Order of Criteria for Determining Surplus Teachers to a School. The Teacher(s) must be qualified according to the requirements of the Ministry of Education to teach the division, subject(s) and/or program for the available positions. a) The first criterion is continuous experience with the Xxxxx-Grey Catholic District School Board and its predecessor Board as reflected on the seniority list as determined by Article 8 a). b) Where continuous experience with the Board is equal, continuous teaching experience in the school in question will be the deciding factor. c) Where a) and b) above are equal, the highest category placement (A1-A4) as determined by QECO will be the deciding factor. d) Where a), b) and c) above are equal, teaching experience recognized by the Board for salary purposes will be the deciding factor. e) Where it is determined by the Board that all factors set out above are equal, a determination will be made by lot conducted by both the Director of Education and the President of the Unit. f) Teachers who have been declared surplus to school will be given consideration to return to the school from which they were declared surplus should a position become available at that school up to and including June 30.
