Common use of Overage and Shortages Clause in Contracts

Overage and Shortages. An overage is any revenue collected over the amount reported on the end-of-shift ticket and on-line payment reports. All overages shall be deposited daily along with a reason for the overage. All shortages (a missing deposit, cash shortage, etc.) shall be repaid to the City by the Bus Operator as a credit to the next Weekly Invoice. There shall be no “netting” of overage and underage in the preparation of reports and deposits.
