Common use of OVERWINTERING FIRES‌ Clause in Contracts

OVERWINTERING FIRES‌. All fires that are determined to have overwintered from a previous year ignition will be treated as a new start and receive a new fire number. Their cause will be recorded the same as the cause for the original fire. In order to facilitate tracking of overwintering fires, the following naming convention will be used: Original fire name + Overwinter + Sequential number of this year’s fires that have overwintered from the original start
