Own Classification Clause Samples
The "Own Classification" clause defines a party's right or obligation to determine the classification or categorization of certain items, information, or activities under the contract. In practice, this may involve a party independently designating the status of goods (such as hazardous or non-hazardous), the sensitivity of information (such as confidential or public), or the type of services provided. This clause ensures that the party responsible for classification can make determinations based on their own criteria or expertise, which helps allocate responsibility and reduce disputes over how items or information should be treated under the agreement.
Own Classification. If seniority permits, the employee will bump the most junior employee in his classification in his same “zone”. If none, the employee will bump the most junior employee in his classification in a zone of his choice.
