Common use of Owner May Order Changes in the Work Clause in Contracts

Owner May Order Changes in the Work. The Owner, without invalidating the Agreement, may request changes in the Work within the general scope of the Agreement, consisting of additions or other revisions, and the Contract Sum and/or contract completion dates shall be adjusted accordingly. All such changes in the Work shall be authorized by Change Order and must be approved by Developer and consented to by State Bank. The Architect has no authority, over its individual signature, to authorize any additional or changed Work that would require an increase in the Contract Sum or an extension of the completion dates. Upon receipt of a fully executed Change Order, the Developer shall promptly proceed with the change.
