Owner of Policy. You may exercise all Policy rights and privileges while the Insured is living, without the consent of any revocable Nominee. You may change the Owner of this Policy. Any change of Owner of this Policy requires a satisfactory written notice in Our prescribed form to be sent to Us at the Company’s Office. Such change is valid only if the request is dated and signed by Us at the Company’s Office during the lifetime of the Insured while this Policy is in effect and the request duly endorsed in this Policy. We will not be responsible for any payment We make or other action We take before We date and sign the request.

  • Statement of Policy In accordance with the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the California Family Rights Act (CFRA), the City will provide family and medical care leave and military family leave for eligible employees, as defined.

  • Form of Policies The minimum limits of policies of insurance required of Tenant under this Lease shall in no event limit the liability of Tenant under this Lease. Such insurance shall: (i) name Landlord, and any other party it so specifies in writing to Tenant, as an additional insured with respect to the commercial general liability insurance; (ii) specifically cover the liability assumed by Tenant under this Lease, including, but not limited to, Tenant’s obligations under Section 10.1 above; (iii) be issued by an insurance company having a rating of not less than A–/VII in Best’s Insurance Guide or which is otherwise acceptable to Landlord and authorized to do business in the state in which the Project is located; (iv) be primary insurance as to all claims thereunder and provide that any insurance carried by Landlord is excess and is non-contributing with any insurance requirement of Tenant; (v) provide that said insurance shall not be canceled or coverage changed unless thirty (30) days’ prior written notice shall have been given to Landlord and any mortgagee or ground or underlying lessor of Landlord (provided Tenant will not be in default if the insurance company refuses to provide such assurance); (vi) contain a cross-liability endorsement or severability of interest clause acceptable to Landlord; and (vii) with respect to the insurance required in Sections 10.3.1, 10.3.2 and 10.3.4 above, have deductible amounts not exceeding One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00). Tenant shall deliver certificates thereof to Landlord on or before the Lease Commencement Date and at least thirty (30) days before the expiration dates thereof. If Tenant shall fail to procure such insurance, or to deliver such certificates and endorsements, within such time periods, Landlord may, at its option, in addition to all of its other rights and remedies under this Lease, and without regard to any notice and cure periods set forth in Section 19.1, procure such policies for the account of Tenant, and the cost thereof shall be paid to Landlord as Additional Rent within thirty (30) days after delivery of bills therefor.

  • Application of Policy The policy is to apply to everyone on site without distinction.

  • Summary of Policy and Prohibitions on Procurement Lobbying Pursuant to State Finance Law §139-j and §139-k, this Contract includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between OGS and a Vendor during the procurement process. A Vendor is restricted from making contacts from the earliest notice of intent to solicit offers/bids through final award and approval of the Procurement Contract by OGS and, if applicable, the Office of the State Comptroller (“restricted period”) to other than designated staff unless it is a contact that is included among certain statutory exceptions set forth in State Finance Law §139-j(3)(a). Designated staff, as of the date hereof, is identified in Appendix G, Contractor and OGS Information, or as otherwise indicated by OGS. OGS employees are also required to obtain certain information when contacted during the restricted period and make a determination of the responsibility of the Vendor pursuant to these two statutes. Certain findings of non-responsibility can result in rejection for contract award and in the event of two findings within a four-year period; the Vendor is debarred from obtaining governmental Procurement Contracts.   • Dissemination of Policy All members of the contractor's staff who are authorized to hire, supervise, promote, and discharge employees, or who recommend such action, or who are substantially involved in such action, will be made fully cognizant of, and will implement, the contractor's EEO policy and contractual responsibilities to provide EEO in each grade and classification of employment. On registration of transfer the Purchaser will become a member of the HOA and be bound by its constitution. The Purchaser specifically acknowledges that he will be liable for levies plus VAT thereon, an estimate of which is detailed in Schedule “A”. The Seller reserves the right to install fibre optic communication or any other data and/or voice communication services in respect of the development as well as a network to serve each individual unit within the development. In the event that the Seller so elects to install the aforesaid communication and network, an additional levy per month shall be imposed upon the owners by the Home Owners Association for these services. The Purchaser specifically acknowledges that he/she will be liable for this additional levy plus VAT thereon, an estimate of which is detailed in Schedule “A”. The Purchaser herewith acknowledges that he has received and read a copy of the draft proposal of the Home Owners Association and understands the contents thereof.

  • Suspension of Policies The Board, by a majority vote of members present at any meeting, may temporarily suspend a Board policy except those provisions that are controlled by law or contract.
