Payment amount and procedures. The City shall pay the Contractor for all work and services covered by this Contract in an amount that shall not exceed Two Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand, Six Hundred and Fifty-Five Dollars ($268,655.00), which amount includes all applicable sales tax. The payment amount shall exclude approved change orders, in accordance with the quantity and unit prices shown on the attached bid proposal. The Contractor shall submit, in a format acceptable to the City, monthly invoices for work and services performed in a previous calendar month. The City shall pay for the portion of the work described in the invoice that has been completed by the Contractor and approved by the City. The City’s payment shall not constitute a waiver of the City’s right to final inspection and acceptance of the work.
