Payment Cancellation, Stop Payment Requests and Refused Payments. x. Xxxxx® Payments. You may cancel a Zelle® payment only if the person to whom you sent the money has not yet enrolled in Zelle®. If the person to whom you sent money has already enrolled with Zelle®, either in the Zelle® Standalone Locations or with a Network Financial Institution, then the money is sent directly to that person’s Eligible Account (except as otherwise provided herein), and the transaction may not be canceled or revoked. Zelle® payments not claimed by a Receiver will be automatically cancelled fourteen (14) days after the processing of the payment begins. When a Sender initiates a Zelle® Payment Instruction, the Receiver is not required to accept the payment if the Receiver has not enrolled in Zelle®. You agree that you as a Sender will not hold us liable for any damages resulting from a Receiver’s decision not to enroll in Zelle®. We will, to the extent permitted by law, make reasonable attempts to return any unclaimed, refused, refunded, prohibited, or denied payment to your Eligible Account or use other reasonable efforts to return such payment to you as permitted by law.
