PAYMENT OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT COSTS. In consideration of the work to be carried out by Allergan hereunder, ASTI shall reimburse Allergan for all Research and Development Costs incurred by Allergan in accordance with accepted Work Plans. ASTI shall also reimburse Allergan for (i) Research and Development Costs incurred with respect to the initial ASTI Products referred to in Section 1.4 and (ii) Pre-Selection Work described in Exhibit B, which costs are incurred from the date on which ALRT ceased such funding (October 23, 1997) through March 31, 1998 in accordance with the Allergan approved Work Plans therefor in effect as of the date hereof.
