Common use of Performance Incentives and Disincentives Clause in Contracts

Performance Incentives and Disincentives. HHSC introduces several financial and non-financial performance incentives and disincentives through this Contract. These incentives and disincentives are subject to change by HHSC over the course of the Contract Period. The methodologies required to implement these strategies will be refined by HHSC after collaboration with contracting HMOs through a new incentives workgroup to be established by HHSC.

Performance Incentives and Disincentives. HHSC introduces several financial and non-financial performance incentives and disincentives through this Contract. These incentives and disincentives are subject to change by HHSC over the course of the Contract Period. The methodologies required to implement these strategies will be refined by HHSC after collaboration with contracting HMOs through a new incentives workgroup to be established by HHSC. HMO is prohibited from passing down financial disincentives and/or sanctions imposed on the HMO to health care providers, except on an individual basis and related to the individual provider’s inadequate performance.
