Common use of Permission to Investigate Clause in Contracts

Permission to Investigate. Whenever a Union Xxxxxxx finds it necessary to leave his/her job to investigate a grievance, the Xxxxxxx must first receive the permission of his/her Supervisor. Such permission shall not be unreasonably denied by the University. In addition, in order to be paid for time spent in investigation, a Xxxxxxx must inform his/her supervisor and the Office of Human Resources, prior to leaving for the investigation and immediately upon return, of the exact time spent on investigating.
