Permits and Income Tax Liability for Expatriate Employees. Staatsolie shall assist Contractor with all necessary permissions, permits, approvals and licenses related to immigration of personnel for the purposes of Petroleum Operations. All Expatriate Employees shall be liable to pay Suriname personal income tax pursuant to the Income Tax Act of 1922 (Government Bulletin of 1921 no. 112, as last amended by State Decree of 1995 no. 52), provided such Taxes are of a non-discriminatory nature; otherwise such taxes shall either not be payable or, if payable, shall be reimbursed by Staatsolie.
