Permitted Time for Filing a Lawsuit. You must file any lawsuit or arbitration against us within one year after the cause of action arises, unless federal or state law or an applicable agreement provides for a shorter time. This limit is in addition to limits on notice as a condition of making a claim.

You must file any lawsuit or arbitration against us within one year two (2) years after the cause of action arises, unless federal or state law or an applicable agreement provides for a shorter time. This limit is in addition to inadditionto limits on notice as a condition of to making a claim, as described in the ”Statements and Notice of Errors” section of this Agreement. If applicable state law does not permit contractual shortening of the time during which a lawsuit must be filed to a period as short as two (2) years, you agree to the shortest permitted time under that state’s laws.
