Personnel Participant Conditions. A. Civil Rights SUBRECIPIENT agrees to comply with the federal and state civil rights and anti-discrimination laws set forth below, as well as all other federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations applicable to this Project, and shall furnish any certification required by any federal, state or local laws, ordinances and regulations applicable to this Project and shall furnish any certification required by any federal, state or local governmental agency in connection therewith. 1. Compliance with Federal Civil Rights Laws and Regulations a) Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 as amended. b) Executive Order 11063, which prohibits discrimination in the sale, leasing, rental, or other disposition of properties and facilities provided with federal funds. c) Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 20000d). as amended, which provides that no person shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from employment or participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. d) Section 109 of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended (42 U.S.C. 5309) and regulations at CFR 570.602 which provide that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, be denied employment in, or be subjected to discrimination under any CDBG program or activity. e) Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, (29 U.S.C. 794) which provides that no otherwise qualified handicapped individual shall, solely by reason of his/her handicap, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, be denied employment in, or be discriminated against under any program or activity receiving federal assistance. f) Age discrimination Act of 1975, as amended (42 U.S.C. 6101) which provides that no person shall, on the basis of age, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal assistance. g) The Americans With Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. 12101 et seq.) h) SUBRECIPIENT agrees to comply with the non-discrimination in employment and contracting opportunities laws, regulations, and executive orders referenced in 24 CFR 570.607, as revised by Executive Order 13279. The applicable non- discrimination provisions in Section 109 of the HCDA are still applicable.
