Personnel Transfers. 1. The Town and Union/Unit agree that schedule changes (shift transfers) should only be conducted when the Department has exhausted all other scheduling options. When a transfer or assignment is required the Fire Chief shall provide the employee with fourteen (14) days advance notice. 2. The Fire Chief may make transfers for emergency reasons exclusive of the above after notification to the Union/Unit and affected members. 3. An employee’s change in job classification requires mutual agreement between the Department and the Unit.
