ILLNESS AND DISABILITY 8.0 At the beginning of each school year each teacher shall be credited with ten (10) days of leave, the unused portion of which shall accumulate from year to year to one hundred fifty-five (155) days pro-rated based on the teacher’s regularly scheduled work day/week. Suspension and Dismissal In the event an Employee alleges dismissal or suspension without just cause, the Employee may commence a grievance at Step II. The grievance shall be filed within ten (10) days of the occurrence.
SUSPENSION AND DISCIPLINE 33.01 The Employer shall have the right to suspend with or without pay and/or discharge an Employee for just and sufficient cause. Prior to suspending or discharging an Employee, the Employer shall consider several factors such as the seriousness of the offence, the Employee's length of service and other relevant mitigating factors.
Definition of Disability For purposes of this Agreement, “Disability” shall mean the Participant’s inability to engage in any substantial gainful activity by reason of any medically determinable physical or mental impairment that can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months.
