Pilots Not Currently Qualified a. When an award is made to a pilot who is not currently qualified in the position, the pilot shall commence flying duties and pay rates in such position as of the first day of such qualification, or on the effective date of the position, whichever is later. However, a pilot who has not completed qualification, for reason other than his own unavailability, within sixty (60) days after the effective date, shall be assigned to the awarded position for pay purposes, but may fly in his previous position.
