AWARDING POSITIONS. 1. All qualified bargaining unit candidates who apply will be offered an interview. 2. All bargaining unit candidates shall be notified of the outcome of their application within fifteen (15) workdays of the Board of School Directors approval of the hire of the successful candidate.

AWARDING POSITIONS. Positions will be awarded by the designated official in accordance with seniority and qualifications.
AWARDING POSITIONS. (a) Awards shall be based on ability, merit and seniority; ability and merit being sufficient, seniority shall prevail. The officer of the Company in charge shall be the judge, subject to appeal, such appeal to be made in writing within 28 calendar days of the appointment. (b) The following applies to an existing employee who, in pursuit of a specific position, has previously undergone a selection process involving interviewing and or testing or who has failed to successfully complete training (whether on the job or classroom training). At the discretion of the Company, the employee may not be permitted to make a subsequent attempt to secure the same position within two years of a previous attempt, except in cases where: • the employee sought out the areas where he/she could improve through the application of Article 24.2 and;

AWARDING POSITIONS. The bid position shall be awarded on seniority and qualifications. For purposes of this Section, an Employee who meets the required qualifications on the job description shall be deemed qualified. Selection of Employees shall be made from among eligible bidders in order of seniority. The Employer shall be the judge as to the qualifications and competence of its Employees. This provision shall be subject to Article 24. The parties agree that the terms “qualified” and “qualifications” as used in this Section of the Agreement include, in addition to specific task-skills required in a particular position, the interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients, clients, and co-workers in a manner that produces high levels of customer satisfaction with the service the customer receives.
AWARDING POSITIONS. 1. Vacancies will be filled as soon as possible following the end of the posting period. All internal candidates within the bargaining unit who applied in accordance with Section C above and who have the minimum qualifications included in the job description for the position will be interviewed before external candidates are interviewed. If any bargaining unit candidate is not interviewed prior to external candidates being interviewed, s/he shall be granted an interview prior to the filling of the vacancy. 2. The successful internal candidate will be transferred to the new position within ten (10) workdays of the notification of assignment. 3. All internal bargaining unit candidates shall receive written notification of the outcome of their bid within fifteen (15) workdays of the Board of School Directors approval of the hire of the successful candidate.

AWARDING POSITIONS. In reviewing bids submitted, the following procedure will be followed: A. The bidders will be listed on the Bid Analysis Sheet including their Bargaining Unit Seniority. B. The supervisor/manager will determine in a non-arbitrary manner which bidders are qualified according to the minimum requirements of the job. C. After the interview process is complete, the supervisor/manager will review applications submitted in writing by Employees. Consideration will be given to (a) qualifications, and (b) seniority. If qualifications of the applicants are reasonably equal, seniority shall govern. At the time of acceptance, unsuccessful bidders will be notified within two (2) working days in writing and informed of the reason(s) they were not successful. If, as the result of a grievance, it is found that a position was improperly awarded, and the Employee originally awarded the position is displaced from the position, he/she will be returned to their former position at their former rate of pay plus any negotiated salary increases, if it is available, or placed in another position equivalent to their former position at their former rate of pay plus any negotiated salary increases, if one is available. If no position is available, the Employee will have full layoff rights under Article XX. D. A copy of the Bid Analysis Sheet along with the name of the Employee awarded the position will be forwarded to the Chief Xxxxxxx of the Union within 1 business day of acceptance. The Employer has the right to review performance evaluations when filling positions, however, categorical numerical values from performance evaluations will not appear on bid analysis sheets and shall not alone be used to disqualify a bidder.
