Placement When Demoted. 8.2.6.1 An employee who accepts voluntary demotion shall be placed on the step of the range of the lower class which is closest to the rate he earned in the higher class, provided that employee shall not receive a salary increase thereby. Employee shall retain the anniversary date established in the higher class.
