Plan for Improvement. A. When an evaluation score classifies a certificated teacher as ineffective (or developing or lower for two consecutive evaluation periods), the teacher must be placed on a Plan for Improvement and a written preliminary notice of inadequacy of classroom performance shall be issued to the teacher unless the teacher meets the criteria for an exception as set forth in Governing Board Policy GCO. B. Within thirty (30) calendar days from the plan start date, the MBU may request additional observation by the principal or an outside evaluator. C. Maintenance and expansion of the collection of professional literature with assigned reading, designed to suggest possible solutions to identified problems.
