Common use of Planting Hole Clause in Contracts

Planting Hole. The planting hole shall be no less than twice the diameter of the container root ball. The depth of the hole shall not be greater than the depth of the root ball or six inches greater than the root ball, whichever is smaller. The space around the root ball shall be filled with existing soil. Each planting hole shall have a four-inch dirt rim to contain water during the establishment period. The dirt rim shall be removed at the end of the maintenance period. Excess dirt from the planting hole shall be removed from the planting site.
