Common use of POLICY AND PROVISIONS Clause in Contracts

POLICY AND PROVISIONS. It is the policy of the State of New York to promote equality of economic opportunity for minority and women-owned business enterprises (M/WBEs) in State contracting. In order to comply with the State’s objectives, the Contractors shall use “good faith efforts” to provide meaningful participation by M/WBE subcontractors or suppliers in the performance of this contract. For the purpose of determining a Contractor’s good faith effort to comply with the requirements of Article 15-A or to be entitled to a waiver therefrom, the contracting agency shall consider:
