Common use of Preauthorized Transfers Clause in Contracts

Preauthorized Transfers. The Card Account cannot be used for preauthorized direct debits from merchants, Internet service or other utility service providers (“Merchant(s)”). If presented for payment, such preauthorized direct debits will be declined and payments to the Merchants will not be made. The Issuer’s bank routing number and the 17- digit Direct Deposit account number are to be used only for the purpose of initiating direct deposits to the Card Account. You are not authorized to provide the Issuer’s bank routing number and the 17- digit Direct Deposit account number to anyone other than your employer or a payer.
