Preauthorized Payments. You may make arrangements to pay certain recurring bills from your checking or savings account(s).
Preauthorized Payments. 1. Right to stop payment and procedure for doing so. If you have told us in advance to make regular payments out of your account, you can stop any of these payments. Here's how: Call us at 000-000-0000, in time for us to receive your request 3 business days or more before the payment is scheduled to be made. If you call, we may also require you to put your request in writing and get it to us within 14 days after you call. (We may charge you for each stop-payment order you give, in accordance with our Fee Schedule.)
Preauthorized Payments. Your use of Betterment’s automatic deposit feature or any other features of Betterment that include regular Transfers will be deemed pre- authorization for those related Transfers. If regular Transfer deposits or withdrawals are scheduled for your account through the automatic deposit feature or any other features of Betterment, you may stop any of these pre-authorized transactions by logging into your account and opting out of the related features before they are scheduled to occur. Preauthorized Payments. If you have arranged for automatic periodic payments to be deducted from your checking or savings account and these payments vary in amount, you will be notified by the person you are going to pay ten calendar days prior to the payment date of the amount to be deducted. If the date upon which your payment is scheduled to be deducted changes, the person you are going to pay will notify you seven calendar days prior to the new scheduled date. Preauthorized Payments. A. You are not permitted to establish preauthorized payments with your Temporary Card.
B. Right to stop payment and procedure for doing so. If you have preauthorized payments with your Personalized Reloadable Card, you can stop any of these payments. Here’s how: Call us at 000-000-0000 or write us at P.O. Box 551667 Jacksonville, FL 32255, in time for us to receive your request three business days or more before the payment is scheduled to be made. If you call, we may also require you to put your request in writing and get it to us within 14 days after you call.

ii. Notice of varying amounts: If these regular payments may varyin amount, the person you are going to pay will tell you, 10 days before each payment, when it will be made and how much it will be. You may choose instead to get this notice only when the payment would differ by more than a certain amountfromthe previouspayment, orwhenthe amountwouldfalloutsidecertain limits that you set.
iii. Liability for failure to stop payment of preauthorized transfer: If we do not stop a payment after you ordered us to do so in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Stop Payment section above, wewill be liable for your losses or damages.
Preauthorized Payments. If you have made arrangements with any third party to make regular payments or transfers out of your account, you can stop any of these payments by contacting us in writing or by phone. We must receive your request at least 3 business days before the payment is scheduled to be made. If you call, we also may require you to put your request in writing and get it to us within 14 days after you call. Stop payments will permanently stop the next recurring electronic transaction, but will not stop subsequent recurring electronic payments. To revoke authorization for recurring electronic payments, you should revoke your authorization in writing with the person or company you are paying. If these regular electronic payments vary in amount, the person or company you are paying must tell you 10 days before each payment when it will be made and how much it will be. If you order us to stop one of these pre-authorized electronic payments at least 3 business days before the transfer is scheduled, and we do not do so, we may be liable for your losses or damages. If, in connection with electronic payments deposited directly to your account by a third party, you deposit any amount in this account which should have been returned to the Federal Government or other issuer for any reason, you authorize us to deduct the amount of your liability to the Federal Government or other issuer from this account or from any other account you have with us, without prior notice and at any time, except as prohibited by law. We may also use any other legal remedy to recover the amount of this liability.

Your request must include your account number, the name of the payee, the amount of the item to be stopped, and the date payment was scheduled to be made. If you call, we require you to put your request in writing and get it to us within 14 days after you call.
Preauthorized Payments. If you arranged with a third party for regular electronic payments to be made from your account with us, these payments will appear on your periodic statement. If these regular payments may vary in amount, the third party must notify you, at least 10 days before each payment date, when the payment will be made and how much it will be. You may choose instead to receive this notice only when the electronic payment differs by more than a certain amount from the previous one, or when the amount falls outside a certain range of amounts specified by you. If a wire transfer we initiate is rejected, we will send you notice of rejection no later than the business day following our notification of the rejection. We will not be responsible for any loss, including interest or attorney’s fees, you may claim resulting from your late receipt of a rejection notice.
Preauthorized Payments. You may arrange for the deposit of funds directly into your checking, money market or savings account with us, such as Social Security, payroll, retirement plan or insurance deposits. You may also arrange for payments to be made from your account to third parties, such as mortgage or loan payments or health club membership payments. These transactions are generally processed through automated clearing houses, are referred to as "ACH" transactions and are subject to the then current rules and regulations of the National Automated Clearing House Association ("NACHA"). Any transfer of funds you receive through an ACH is provisional and you must repay the funds if we do not receive final settlement. For example, if you receive a direct deposit from the government, which the government seeks to reclaim, you authorize us to charge any account of yours to pay the claim without prior notice to you. Stop Payment Procedure for Preauthorized Payments You can stop a preauthorized ACH payment that you have arranged to be made from your account by calling us toll free at (000) 000-0000 or by writing us at City National Bank, 000 Xxxxx Xxxxxx Xx., 00xx Xxxxx, Xxx Xxxxxxx, XX 00000, Attn.: Client Services Call Center. We must receive the request at least three (3) Business Days before the payment you want to stop is scheduled to be made. You must tell us your name, account number, the exact payment amount, the payment date and the person or company that is to receive the payment. If you call, we may also require you to confirm your request in writing and make sure we receive it within fourteen (14) days after you call. If you follow these instructions and we do not stop payment as you requested, we may be liable to you. You will be charged our regular stop payment fee for your request. Your stop payment request is effective for two (2) years and only for the preauthorized payment scheduled to be made on the payment date that you give us and only for the exact amount and payee. If you want preauthorized payments to a specific recipient permanently stopped, you must tell us and you must also notify the recipient that you are revoking the authorization and ordering the payments stopped. We generally do not notify the recipient. For specific recurring payments you want stopped, the stop payment order will remain in place until withdrawn.
