Common use of Preferred Provider - Doctors/Hospitals Clause in Contracts

Preferred Provider - Doctors/Hospitals. A. The parties agree that one or more Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO) programs for hospital and physicians’ services may be provided through the Xxxxx County Council of Governments (COG) Health Insurance Program. Anyone, as of August 1, 2009, who has the traditional Mutual Health Program instead of the PPO, may continue such participation. B. Participation in any such programs will be voluntary and there shall be no diminution of benefits for those individuals who choose not to participate in a PPO. However, for those individuals who choose a PPO and then utilize services outside the PPO system, there may be a reduction in benefits. C. The selection of the PPO(s), the types of benefits/programs, or any changes therein, shall be mutually determined by the representative of the COG and the Xxxxx County OEA office representative. D. The duration of this provision shall be from July 1, 2006, and continuing thereafter unless terminated or modified by the representatives outlined in paragraph 3 herein.
