Common use of Premium Pay for Additional Language(s) Clause in Contracts

Premium Pay for Additional Language(s). Whenever a classified position has a bona fide requirement for regular use of competent skills in more than one language, sign language (AMESLAN), and/or Braille, the University will authorize premium pay of two (2) steps above the level normally assigned for that position; provided that this premium will not apply in those instances where the position is allocated to a class that requires these skills.
