Common use of Prescription Medications Clause in Contracts

Prescription Medications. Retail Prescription Medications may be covered when accompanied by a prescription from your Attending Physician. Coverage of retail Prescription Medications is subject to the cost-sharing shown in your Schedule of Benefits. Allergy serums and chemotherapy for cancer patients are covered. Coverage for insulin and other diabetic supplies is described in Section 9.14. Certain preventive medications that have an ‘A’ or ‘B’ rating in current recommendations of the USPSTF may be covered at no cost to you when deemed Medically Necessary and accompanied by a prescription from your Attending Physician.
