Pressure Reducing Valve. Provide a 5 year Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) test (if applicable). Schedule for the PRV testing will be subject to County approval and will be weekend work only.
1. Test for proper operation by injecting smoke into the detection chamber. (3 to 5 second response)
2. Test for trouble reporting by removing detector from circuit
3. Check operation of any indicator lamps or auxiliary relays
4. Test for proper operation in trouble condition 5. Test dry sand pipes (every 5 years)
