Bilingual Differential Pay Bilingual Differential Pay applies to those positions designated by the Department of Personnel Administration as eligible to receive bilingual pay according to the following standards:
Shift Differential Pay A. An employee shall receive additional compensation at the rate of seventy five cents (75¢) per hour for all hours worked on a shift when the majority of hours worked on the shift are between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. and in locations where these classes are regularly assigned shift work.
Short-Term Unpaid Leave Up to two days of unpaid leave may be granted for extenuating circumstances that are deemed to be unavoidable by the administration. Teachers should submit a letter outlining the circumstances as soon as possible in advance of the date(s) requested. Teachers should plan for special events, trips, etc. by accumulating and utilizing personal business leave as stated in Article 19.2.
Short Changeover Premium (a) If shifts are scheduled so that there are not twenty-four (24) hours between the start of an employee's shift and the start of his/her next shift, a premium calculated at the overtime rates will be paid for hours worked on the succeeding shift within the twenty-four (24) hour period.
