Common use of Prior Approval Requirements Clause in Contracts

Prior Approval Requirements. Unless otherwise specified in the award, provisions of the applicable Federal cost principles and other Federal administrative requirements for prior agency approval apply only to the activities and expenditures specified below. a. Written prior approval from the NSF Grants and Agreements Officer is required for: 1. Significant Project Changes (a) Transfer of the project effort (see Article 9); (b) Change in objectives or scope (see Article 9); (c) Absence or change of PI (see Article 9); (d) Change in the amount of cost sharing reflected on Line M of the award budget (see Article 23); or 2. Rearrangements/Alterations aggregating $25,000 or over (Construction) (see Article 12). b. Written prior approval from the NSF Program Officer is required for reallocation of funds provided for participant or trainee support (see Article 8). c. The prior approval requirements identified above (as well as other types of award related notifications stipulated in GPM Exhibit III-1) must be submitted electronically to NSF through use of the NSF FastLane system at xxxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx.xxx/ unless other arrangement or accommodations are made in advance with the Grants and Agreements Officer.
