Probation (Permanent employees only. a) New employees shall be subject to a probationary period of a maximum of three months from their commencement of employment. b) The employer will assess the work performance and suitability of the employee during the probationary period. During this period, should the employee’s work performance and/or conduct be unsatisfactory, the employee will be given the opportunity to improve his or her work performance and/or conduct. c) At the completion of the probation period, the employer will confirm the permanent employment of the employee in writing.
