Problem Solving Meetings. 333P.2 Discussions between an employee and manager and problem solving meetings are intended to promote a thorough understanding of lifestyle situations, which may contribute to the excessive use of unscheduled PTO. The discussions and meetings provide an opportunity for the employee to clarify their actions, to develop a mutual understanding of the employee’s issues and of the impact of the employee’s absenteeism on patient care and on the work life of other staff members. The goal is to develop a mutual plan to minimize the use of scheduled and unscheduled PTO.
