Procedure for Applicants. a. The Professional Development Committee shall be comprised of two (2) professionals appointed by the President and the Faculty Members on the Professional Development Committee. The Professional Development Committee will: i. notify Faculty Members of eligibility requirements and deadlines for applications, in addition to the number of quarters available for professional leave for the following year; final deadlines for applications shall be October 1 for the subsequent academic year; ii. receive and review applications; iii. make recommendations concerning each applicant to the President by November 1; iv. notify each applicant as to the Committee’s decision to support or not support their professional leave application. b. The President will make recommendations concerning professional leaves to the Board of Trustees. c. All applicants will be notified in writing by the President regarding the granting or the denial of the professional leave no later than the end of fall quarter each year.
