Procedures for Internal Search and Appointment. (i) Upon authorization of a Part-time position, the Department Head shall advise Human Resources to advertise internally for the position. Internal advertisements shall be open to all individuals on the Precedence List as defined in Articles 11.12(a) and 11.12 (b) and all Full-time Employees. The advertisement shall contain only the following information: the Academic Unit to which the course is assigned, the course number and description, the assigned time slots and duration, and the closing date. Human Resources shall forward copies of all advertisements to the President of the Association. (ii) Should only one internal candidate apply for the position, and should that candidate have experience or Precedence teaching the authorized course, or expertise pertinent to the course, the Head shall declare the position filled, copying the Employee, the Academic Unit, the Xxxx, the Vice-President (Academic), and the President of the Association. (iii) Should more than one individual on the Precedence List and no full-time Employees apply for the authorized position, Article 11.12 (a) and 11.12 (b) apply, and Human Resources shall forward the list of applicants and the Precedence List to the Head. The Head shall assign the position based on Precedence, communicating the decision to all candidates, copying the Employee, the Academic Unit, the Xxxx, the Vice-President (Academic), and the President of the Association. (iv) Should more than one Full-time Employee or should both Full-time Employees and individuals on the Precedence List apply for the authorized position, a Per Course Selection Committee shall be struck in accordance with Article 11.11 (b). (v) The Per Course Selection Committee shall request supporting documentation from all applicants to allow for an assessment based on the criteria for appointment established by Article 11.
