Common use of Producer Rights Clause in Contracts

Producer Rights. a) The Union acknowledges that it is the exclusive function and right of the Company to: 1) Operate and manage its business in all respects except where any right to do so has been specifically restricted by the terms of this collective agreement; 2) Maintain order, discipline and efficiency of the operation; 3) Make, from time to time, reasonable rules and regulations to be observed by individuals covered by the terms of this collective agreement, provided that such rules and regulations are not inconsistent with this collective agreement; 4) Schedule production, direct the workforce, hire, layoff, and with just cause, discipline or discharge employees subject to the terms and conditions of the grievance and arbitration procedures set out in Article 20.
