Professional Allowance. A non-accountable professional allowance will be provided. This will be added to the stipend for the course and paid at the rate outlined in Schedule 'A'.
Professional Allowance. In recognition of the unique nature of the teaching profession, during the 2002-2003 academic year, the following allowance will be paid to full-time Employees on strength as of the signing date of this Collective Agreement. In subsequent years the following allowance will be paid to full-time Employees on strength as of the commencement date of the applicable academic year: 2002-2003 $1200.00 2002-2004 $1200.00 2002-2005 $1200.00 For the 2002-2003 academic year only, full-time Employees who came on strength after the commencement of the academic year, will receive this allowance pro rated based on the number of days worked. The allowance also applies to part-time Employees except that the amount will be pro rated based on the scheduled hours of work. Substitute teachers do not qualify for this allowance. All benefits conferred by this section will cease as of June 30, 2005.
Professional Allowance. Full-time Medical Physicists and full-time Senior Medical Physicists will be provided with access to a professional allowance at the beginning of the fiscal year, as follows: Medical Physicists: $1,800 per fiscal year Senior Medical Physicists: $2,400 per fiscal year This allowance shall be used for the purchase of books, computer software and hardware, professional membership, seminars and conferences directly related to job responsibilities.
Professional Allowance. Effective January 1, 2021 and each subsequent calendar year, Employees will be provided with a Professional Allowance of $55 per month for the number of appointment months in the calendar year. The professional allowance for each calendar year shall be provided in the Employee’s professional allowance account at the beginning of each calendar year of the Employee’s appointment. Unused amounts in the Professional Allowance may be carried over into the next calendar year of a current appointment.
Professional Allowance. An annual professional allowance is payable to teachers on a common date near the end of the school year as follows:
Professional Allowance. A professional allowance of $350 will be provided in each year of the contract to be used for business related expenses, including, but not limited to, business related car insurance, continuing education, etc. Said allowance will not be paid before the first payroll in April.

Professional Allowance. Sessional Academic Staff Members who are eligible for the Extended Health and Dental benefits will also receive $100 per 3 credit-hour course (or prorated equivalent) for professional expenses.
Professional Allowance. Full-time Medical Physicists and full-time Senior Medical Physicists will be provided with access to a professional allowance of $3500 at the beginning of each fiscal year. During the first year of employment, the professional allowance will be pro-rated in accordance with the employment start date relative to the start of the fiscal year. At least $2000 of the professional allowance is to be applied against the cost of attending conferences, courses, seminars and similar professional meetings relevant to the practice of medical physics. Such costs include those associated with registration, accommodation and travel. Professional travel requests will generally be made in advance of the new fiscal year and will require departmental approval. The remainder (less than $1500) may be used for the purchase of books, computer software and hardware, and professional memberships directly related to job responsibilities. Requests for these purchases will require departmental approval. Any material acquisitions obtained under this provision become the property of the Employer. Part-time Medical Physicists and part-time Senior Medical Physicists shall be provided with their professional allowance on a pro- rated basis. A Medical Physicist and Senior Medical Physicist shall be reimbursed for these professional expenses in accordance with Hospital Policy.
Professional Allowance. 61.1 It is a requirement of this Agreement that all permanent employees required to carry out duties as a Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist, be registered in accordance with the Medical Radiation Practitioner Board of Australia (AHPRA) and hold a current Radiation Licence.
61.2 It is a further requirement of this Agreement that Sonographers be accredited and hold a current registration with Australian Sonographers Association Registry (ASAR).
61.3 In addition, it is a requirement of this Agreement that Nursing staff hold appropriate professional registration (AHPRA).
61.4 On receiving proof of payment for the registration and or license listed above the Company will reimburse reasonable expenses incurred
