Professional Organization Work. A leave of absence of up to one (1) year shall be granted to any teacher, upon application, for the purpose of serving as an officer or staff member of any professional organization (local, state, or national). Such leaves may be renewed annually and be renewed annually for the length of the term of the office or the length of employment as a staff member.
