Common use of Program of Assertive Community Treatment Clause in Contracts

Program of Assertive Community Treatment. The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority has three self-contained Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) teams which assist individuals with severe and persistent symptoms of mental illness to select, secure and maintain employment. A multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals (i.e., psychiatrist, social workers, nurses, and other professionals) provides rehabilitation, support and treatment services to individuals with a primary diagnosis of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or a major psychotic disorder. Program activities include: o employment counselling; o skill development; o vocational crisis intervention and management; o pre-employment training; o education support and facilitation; o job search development skills; o accessing the hidden job market; and o ongoing active employment support.
