Programs of Study Clause Samples
The "Programs of Study" clause defines the specific academic or training courses and curricula that a student or participant is expected to follow under an agreement. Programs of Study. The Community College will offer educational programs of study that have been approved by the Regents including:
1. the first two years of college education; or
2. vocational and technical curricula of not more than two years' duration designed to fit individuals for employment in recognized occupations; or
3. both [§21-14-1(A)].
Programs of Study. Programs that incorporate secondary education and postsecondary education elements and include coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant career and technical content in a coordinated, non-duplicative progression of courses that align secondary and postsecondary education to adequately prepare students to succeed in postsecondary education. Programs of Study may include the opportunity for secondary students to participate in dual or concurrent enrollment programs or acquire college level credit or equivalent clock hours in other ways, leading to an industry-recognized credential or certificate at the postsecondary level, or an associate or baccalaureate degree. Programs of Study. Engineering Academic Appeals Committee. To do so, the student must provide a written letter of appeal addressed to the ▇▇▇▇ which outlines the basis for the appeal. The letter of appeal must be received by the ▇▇▇▇ within 28 calendar days from the decision date. This is the date of the letter in which the student was first advised of the academic standing decision. The 28 days include mailing time and all time spent in attempting to resolve the matter with the Associate ▇▇▇▇ (Student and Co-op Services) . Note: An unsuccessful appeal within the Faculty or any conditions imposed as part of the appeal decision within the Faculty may be carried to the General Faculties Council Academic Appeals Committee. See Appeals and Grievances. The appeal of any conditions in an appeal decision by the Faculty must occur within the timelines set out for any appeal to the General Faculties Council Academic Appeals Committee. The consequences resulting from a subsequent failure to meet the conditions are not appealable.
Programs of Study. The Employer will provide tuition reimbursement to eligible employees only if the course is considered to be job-related and compatible with at least one of the following goals:
a.) The course is offered by an accredited institution of learning.
b.) The course is expected to build the competencies and strengthen the performance of the employee on her/his present job.
c.) The course is considered a prerequisite for the job presently held or of the job next in line of an obvious progression.
d.) The course is prescribed for the attainment or maintenance of a program of study or degree in an academic or business area that is compatible to the interests of the Employer and the employee.
