RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS. Marine Patrol Officers shall be allowed to reside in their patrol areas where they choose so long as response time to calls is reasonable. The standard for reasonableness shall be thirty (30) minutes under normal driving conditions to the area of the patrol that contains the most Marine Resources-related activity. The thirty (30) minute response time may be extended by mutual agreement if extenuating circumstances exist. No employee currently living outside of the above-mentioned standards shall be required to move as a result of the implementation of this Article. Where State housing is not provided, law enforcement personnel may be required as a condition of employment, to provide their own housing within a fixed location or area, within an assigned unit work area. The Commissioner or his/her designee may grant exceptions for unusual circumstances which will not be unreasonably denied.
RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS. SEC. 14.01. Employees who are ordinarily subject to call for emergency work shall reside permanently in their respective headquarters town or in the surrounding area not more than twenty-five (25) miles from their residence to their reporting facility, measured over the normally traveled route. This provision shall apply to (1) all new employees; (2) all present employees who accept jobs in another Company headquarters town, and (3) all Apprentices who become Journeyman. The provisions hereof shall be complied with not later than six (6) months following the date of employment or the effective date of the new status of the employee required to comply herewith. However, employees holding classifications as of July 1, 1992, which require compliance with Section 14.01, will be grandfathered in their current classification and current residence with respect to the residence requirements. As such, these employees will not be required to move from their current residence and they may bid any other position in the same reporting headquarters without having to move from their current residence. An employee who changes his reporting headquarters or his current residence after July 1, 1992, must comply with the residence requirements of this Section. Employees holding the classification of Substation Troubleman as of September 1, 2003 will be grandfathered at their current residence (current meaning as of September 1, 2003) with respect to the residence requirements. As such, these employees will not be required to move from their current residence and they may bid any other position in the same reporting headquarters without having to move from their current residence. An employee bidding into classification of Substation Troubleman after September 1, 2003, or a Substation Troubleman who changes his reporting headquarters or his current residence after September 1, 2003 must comply with paragraph 1 and 2 of Section 14.01. 14.02. Employees in the following classifications are those who are required to comply with the residence requirements of Section 14.01 above: A. An employee in any classification of employment that is allowed to commute in a Company vehicle and who lives twenty-five (25) miles or less from his reporting headquarters will be allowed to use a vehicle for commuting purposes. New employees must establish residency within eighteen (18) months of initial appointment to the Department. No extensions will be granted.

RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS a) You will not be eligible to register or enrol for any study with us if you are resident in the UK on a student visa where The Open University is the sponsor, unless you are studying an Open University research degree qualification. b) If you are currently resident in the UK on a visitor, student visitor or working holiday visa, which only allows a stay in the UK for up to six months, you will only be eligible to: i. register on a qualification that is available for study in the country in which you are ordinarily resident; ii. register or enrol on a module that is available within the EEA and Switzerland if you will be resident in the UK when the module starts and will be in the UK for at least half the duration of the module. If you do not meet these criteria, we reserve the right to restrict your registration or enrolment to modules available globally only. c) If you are not resident in the UK you may only register or enrol for a module that is available to study in your country of residence. d) If you are not resident in the UK you may only register for or declare a qualification where there are sufficient modules (including all compulsory modules) available for study in your country of residence to enable you to successfully complete that qualification.
