The City’s policy is that City funds should not be used for the purchase of single-serving bottled water except for any of the following: • Public safety emergencies, investigations and extended deployments or activation of the Office of Emergency Services; • Situations where there is a high risk of cross-contamination with non-potable water; or • Situations where there are no reasonable alternatives to bottled water, such as large public events and when large quantities of water need to be distributed for health and safety reasons.
