Project Geophysicist. Responsibilities include geophysical survey design, dynamic data collection, cued data collection, development of a verification/validation plan, and all other plans and reports supporting the project specific geophysical classification technology; and ensuring proper operation of advanced geophysical electromagnetic induction (EMI) systems. The Project Geophysicist shall have, at a minimum, the following qualifications:  A degree in geophysics, engineering geophysics, or closely related field or equivalent demonstrated proficiency with advanced geophysical methods and concepts related to munitions response and possess five (5) years of directly related UXO geophysical experience.  Shall be experienced with the theoretical and practical aspects of detecting and selecting a wide range of targets of interest (TOI) and non-targets of interest (non-TOI).  Experienced in the selection and utilization of various types of geophysical instruments and ancillary components to include high-precision global positioning systems, inertial motion sensors and the software used to control and integrate the geophysical system as a whole.  Shall be a member of the Project Geophysicist personnel cited in the contractor's or subcontractor's DAGCAP accreditation.

  • Engineering Services Definition: Engineering Services includes any service or creative work, the adequate performance of which requires education, training and experience in the application of special knowledge in consulting, investigating, evaluating, planning and designing, engineering principles. Engineering Services covered by the Xxxxxx Architect-Engineers Act (40 U.S.C. 1102) are not covered in the primary scope of OASIS SB.
