Prolonged Absence. If the Company is notified or if it is known by 12:00 noon on Thursday in any calendar week that a city driver will be absent from work for any reason on a prolonged absence (for a future period of five (5) consecutive working days or more) and if the Company decides that the vacancy created by such absent city driver must be filled, then the following shall apply:

Prolonged Absence. When your child is gone for an extended period of time (two weeks or more), Center may disenroll your child. You may reserve a space for your child by paying the current weekly rate for three weeks in advance of the absence. This fee is non-refundable. Your child would need to return at the end of the three week absence or the Center may disenroll the child. In the event that your child disenrolls from the Center, your child will be prohibited from re-enrolling for a minimum period of three (3) weeks. With a prolonged absence the anniversary of enrollment starts over as will the vacation credit accrual.
Prolonged Absence. An employee who has been laid off, suspended or is on a leave of absence without pay for one complete month shall not be considered as having been available for work and shall not be granted sick-day credits of one half-day (.5) per complete month of work. Prolonged Absence. When an employee is absent due to a work accident for a period exceeding fifty- two (52) consecutive weeks, or is absent due to an illness or an accident for a period exceeding sixteen (16) consecutive weeks, the University may temporarily fill the absent employee’s position with another employee from the bargaining unit in accordance with the criteria established in paragraph 3 of clause 11.03. If it is known, with supporting documentation, that the duration of the absence will exceed fifty-two (52) weeks or sixteen (16) weeks, whichever the case, the University may fill the position prior to the expiration of the applicable delay. In the event that no employee is interested in filling the position, the Employer may temporarily fill the position with an external person. Positions that remain unfilled for a period of thirty-six (36) months or less in the case of a sick leave or for a period of twenty-four (24) months or less in the case of a work-related injury or occupational disease are not considered vacant.
Prolonged Absence. In the event that the Artist shall fail to appear for rehearsals or performance for a continuous period of two (2) weeks owing to illness (as to which the Engager may have an examination by a doctor designated and paid by it), the Engager shall have the right, at its election, with the CAEA concurring, either: (A) to terminate the engagement of the Artist by giving written notice of such termination to the Artist provided that the Artist shall be paid full compensation as provided in Rule 35:01 above whether or not the Artist has already received the maximum fourteen (14) day’s sick leave with full pay, or any part thereof; or (B) consider the Artist on leave without pay during such illness provided that the payment provided for in Rule 35:03(A) above is made and the Artist continues to receive the full benefits under the extended health insurance plan provided by the Engager, in which event this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect in all other respects.

(e) If the Employee continues to be absent for a further period of three (3) continuous months a review will also be held after nine (9) months. The nine (9) month review will also be with the Employee, their representative if requested by the Employee, and their treating doctor if requested by the Employee. The Company may require the Employee to attend an assessment by their nominated doctor. (f) If the Employee continues to be absent for a further period of three (3) continuous months a review will also be held after twelve (12) months. The twelve (12) month review will also be with the Employee, their representative if requested by the Employee, and their treating doctor if requested by the Employee. The Company may require the Employee to attend an assessment by their nominated doctor. 18.6.3. If the Employee continues to be absent after twelve (12) months and is likely to be absent on a continuing basis a review will be conducted before fifteen (15) months with the Employee, their representative if requested by the Employee, and their treating doctor if requested by the Employee. The Company may require the Employee to attend an assessment by their nominated doctor. Prolonged Absence. In case of a prolonged absence due to circumstances such as illness, the death of a close family member or pregnancy, the Vendor may delegate his or her responsibilities and obligations to another person, but only if the Company has agreed upon the delegation of duties and has accepted the person proposed by the Vendor. The Water Vendor, having signed the present Contract, remains responsible for the management of the Kiosk. In case of prolonged illness, the Vendor has to provide the NWWSSC with a doctor's statement.
Prolonged Absence. If a student is unable to attend school for a lengthy period of time, but is able to study and do work at home, the parents are to notify the High School office to secure class assignments. If a student anticipates absence from school, the student must bring a note and have a call from the parent or legal guardian three (3) days prior to the anticipated absence and must complete a pre-approved absence form which must be obtained from the building principal. The main office in turn will issue the proper form to the student permitting them to re-enter the class/classes with the understanding that all classwork is to be made up if the absence is excused. To be counted for a full day of school, a student must be in attendance 2 or more hours during the morning and 2 or more hours in the afternoon. If for any reason student enters school for the morning session, after the tardy bell, the student is marked tardy, but is counted present for the morning session.
