PROMOTION AND RECIPROCAL PROTECTION OF INVESTMENTS. The Government of the Republic of Lithuania and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, hereinafter referred to as "the Contracting Parties", - Desiring to intensify economic cooperation between them on mutually advantageous conditions, - Determined to create favourable conditions for investments by investors of one Contracting Party in the territory of the other Contracting Party, - Recognising that the promotion and protection of such investments will contribute to stimulate private business initiative and increase the prosperity of both countries, Have agreed as follows:
