PROMOTION TO THE STATUS OF SENIOR TUTOR. 3.5.1 A Tutor will be considered for promotion to Senior Tutor where a case can be made on contribution to the department in teaching and administration and/or service and the needs of the Faculty and the University. The Faculty Staffing Committee in particular will look for evidence of teaching ability and administration and/or service. Contributions to the achievement of the University’s EEO and EEdO objectives, e.g. as mentor, role model, adviser, may be taken into account. 3.5.2 The academic head will be asked to report on the candidate’s contribution to the department in teaching and administration and/or service, and to add any appropriate general comment on the application. The academic head may consult with appropriate persons.
